Review: Nicole by OPI 'It Starts With Me'

Well, hi! It's been quite long since I posted something about beauty but here's a review! With the title being pretty self-explanatory, I'm gonna be reviewing the Nicole by OPI nail polish in 'It Starts With Me' today :)
This color is so good! It's like a rose gold and it has some shimmers in it. I just don't know why I didn't use this before, I bought it like a year ago and this is like my 3rd use of this, max. I love the color so much! And the constancy of it is so nice. It is more liquidy than your usual nail polish but with this color, it makes it so much easier to apply on your nails. Also the brush, in my opinion, makes the whole process a lot easier as well. It took me 2 coats to get an opaque color, maybe 3 would have worked better but 2 is just as good.
I used the Essence Studio Nails Base Coat as my base(duh) and Sally Hensen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat, guess what, as a top coat, yes! And the Sally Hensen top coat is a whole another story, it is so amazing that it earns its own review so look out for that!
Overall, on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give a 9,5 to this pretty shimmery polish that I'm currently staring at on my nails :) And in order to make it 10 points, I would make it a tiny bit more opaque but like I said, 3 coats would be perfect, I'm just too lazy :) Go to your drugstore or Ulta or online, wherever, and buy this if you like goldy-rosey-shimmery colors on your nails!

Jealousy has my WHAT?

Jealousy is a feeling that we don't have the hold of. I personally believe that I get really jealous is certain cases. (Maybe instead of 'really', 'too' would fit in better.) I'd be jealous everybody, even a stranger has the power of making me jealous. But what people don't understand is I don't like to show it too much. That's just who I am, I know it's not the best. I also don't show my anger and sadness to the world but that's a whole another topic.
I'm currently in the situation where I feel like I'm slowly losing my best friend to another close friend. And that feeling just sucks the blood out of my heart leaving me looking at the ceiling with no emotion what so ever. Maybe it's just me, me over-thinking and my brain pointing out her behaviors against me but this situation just bothers me so much. Maybe she's reading this right now, not believing that this is how I really feel because I don't show it, or maybe she's noticed something different about me during the last few days that we hung out. Either way, nothing has changed about her.
She's been canceling our plans and not returning my calls. What I'm probably gonna do is back off of her a little bit hoping that this'll make her understand what really is going on inside of me.
I think jealousy has my control right now. Can't think of a way to take the wheel back in my hands but I guess waiting is the name of the road that I'm driving on.

Thinking...

People think. It's in our nature, our brains are operated to do so. But what's bad about it is we sometimes cannot control the amount. A lot of people that I know over think. They think of each and every possibility that could happen in each and every situation and let me tell you, it's no good for you.
There are some situations where you are not fully aware of what's going on and you start to think of what might have happened, who did what and what led the situation to where it is and you get so carried away, you start to blame people of what they might have (or haven't) done. And how you do that is based on how you see people. For instance, if there's a person that is involved in the situation but you don't like them very much, you start thinking of what bad things they might've done that made things worse. If they did what you imagined them doing, then good for you, you should be a psychic. But most of the time, the scenario that you've made up in your mind is so far away from the truth that it makes you start thinking of a future scenario which probably won't happen and that just will leave you disappointed.
I guess what I'm saying is don't blame people of what they might have done and don't wish nasty things to happen to them just because of your imagination. Just wait, ask questions and figure out the truth. Trust me, I've learnt it the hard way, it's easier than thinking.

January Favorites!

Hello! Today, since January is over, I thought I'd share my favorite beauty products for this month. Now, I went to India 2 weeks ago and boy, it was amazing! And here's a picture of my henna or as they call it, mendhi:

So let's start with my favorites:
  • MAC Studio Fix in NC35

I bought this from India with all the other MAC products I will talk about later, but this is just amazing :) It gives enough coverage so I don't have to use any foundation, I only use a little bit of concealer and this. It is literally the best powder that I've ever used.

  • Maybelline EyeStudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Brown

This product is so raved that I had to try it and I'm glad I did! I'm still on the hunt for the black one, I can't find it anywhere but the brown one is great as well :) I do like using brown eyeliner with brown eyes which happens to be my case and with an angled brush and this, I'm good to go :)

  • Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in 30 Pomegranate Punk

I mentioned this in my last post which shows a very odd and different way to use this product but since I was in India, I went a little out with my make up :) This is a great base color to warm up the eyeshadows that you're gonna be putting on later and it goes perfect with smokey looks.

  • Maybelline One By One Volum' Express Mascara

I just noticed that this is my 3rd Maybelline product this month but, I just like'em :) This mascara is great for natural looks. My favorite on is still the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! but mine dried up and it's not sold in Turkey so I might have to buy one online :) Anyway, this has a plastic wand which is tapered in both ends. I don't know if my last sentence makes sense but I think you understand what I mean.

  • Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Roller

This product used to make my eyes watery, I don't know what changed about it but it doesn't now and I like it more than any other under eye concealers that I have. It conceals and brightens that area at the same time so it is great but a little tip: put the product on and wait for a couple of seconds then blend it out.

  • Sigma E20 Short Shader Brush

This is perfect for blending out any eyeliner mistakes that you might have made :) I don't use this with the brown gel eyeliner that I just mentioned but instead, I use it with pencil eyeliners and not only it makes the mistakes go away, it gives a great look as well.

  • Benefit High Beam

I bought this in summer and I also hauled it but I'm now getting around using it and it just gives the perfect glow to your face :) It's on the pricier side but I think it is worth it.

  • MAC Amplified Lipstick in Dark Side

I've been on the market for a dark burgundy lipstick and I finally found it! I was actually gonna buy the lipstick in Diva which is as good but they were sold out so I got this instead and it's so pretty! You can wear it sheer or opaque, however you'd like and it'll look great on everyone.

And that's it! Thnak you for reading!

Weirdest Tip Ever!

Hey! So today, I will be sharing a weird tip I found recently :) I was thinking about buying a burgundy lipstick and a strange idea just appeared in my mind. Why don't I use my 'Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk' on my lips? It will probably last all day and it's a really cute color! So I tried it and took pictures for you! Here they are:

And here it is when I add a lipgloss on:

Review: Sally Hansen Salon Manicure 660

Hi! Today I will be showing you a nail polish that I literally just bought and put on :) It's Sally Hansen's Salon Manicure polish in 660 'Pat on the Black'. It is a really deep purple, almost like black polish but it looks so great! I only put 2 coats and it's pretty thick as well which I like :) And also, I generally love Sally Hansen's applicators, they are quite wide and I feel like it makes it so much easier to apply the polish on my nails. If you put a thick coat, you probably could get away with just one coat because it's pretty opaque but I personally like 2 coats better. You can see a picture of it if you scroll just a little bit down and that's it for today!
Thank you so much for reading!
Have a nice day! / Goodnight!
